The presentation approaches Nigeria from a developmental and intercultural perspective and deals with the following questions:

- Which factors have a stabilising versus destabilising effect on the country?
- What is the structure of society today - between tradition and modernity?
- What are Nigeria's development perspectives?
- What norms and values shape the behaviour of Nigerians?
- How can German-Nigerian understanding succeed?
